Monday students will attend the Honors Ceremony 6th period.
7th period students will learn about the Harlem Renaissance. Students will research performing artists from the Harlem Renaissance or modern day. Students will answer 4 biographical questions about their performing artist.
Tuesday students will continue to research their performing artist. They will answer 4 style and subject matter questions.
Wednesday students will search for the title of a performance, play bill, etc. and images of their performer. They will save and print from a Word Doc.
Thursday and Friday students will create a brainstorming list of 5 to 10 objects or things that are in the title, song, play, etc. that they have chosen of their performer. Students will create a symbol to visualize each item.
Due to the snow days, we will continue with last week's agenda: Origami Boomerangs.
Monday through Thursday we will follow step by step instructions to fold our boomerangs.
Friday students will decorate their boomerangs with the symbols created last Tuesday.
Tuesday students will learn about Aboriginal Art and create their own symbols inspired by symbols viewed in class.
Wednesday through Friday we will fold our Origami Boomerangs and begin decorating with the symbols created in class.
Monday (out due to weather)
Tuesday students will create a work of art using the 7 elements of art. Students will divide their paper into 7 sections and create a design within each section to show an element of art. 1 element per section. Sections do not need to be equal.
Wednesday students will continue to work on their element designs.
Thursday students will turn in their element designs.
Friday we will begin an Origami Boomerang project. We will begin folding techniques.
