Students will learn about the artist, Wayne Thiebaud. Students will brainstorm ideas for a dessert work of art inspired by Wayne Thiebaud's work.
Tuesday and Wednesday students will create rough sketches of their desserts. They will create a contour drawing of their dessert to draw on black paper.
Thursday and Friday students will read Scholastic Art Magazine: Sculpture Right Now.
A graphic organizer will be completed Thursday and Summary questions on Friday.
Monday students will complete their Hercules Inspired Greek Amphorae.
Tuesday through Friday we will continue working on our Digital Destinations Project in the computer lab.
Monday 6th period students will begin creating a rough sketch for their Black Figure Amphora using stories from the Disney movie Hercules.
7th period students will be viewing a Black Figure Amphora and answering "Discussion and Observation" questions.
Tuesday students will work on rough sketches for their own Black Figure Amphora.
Wednesday-Friday students will lightly draw their designs on the amphora template. They will use orange and black markers or colored pencils to add the element of color to their design.
Monday students will continue to work on their Digital Destinations projects.
Tuesday and Wednesday students will view Disney's Hercules and complete a worksheet about Greek Art.
Thursday and Friday students will begin a Greek vase design based on stories from the movie Hercules.
