Tuesday students will learn about foreground, middle ground and background. Students will make sure that they incorporate these concepts within their compositions. Size, placement, over lapping of objects and value will be discussed.
Wednesday and Thursday designs will be lightly sketched out on final drawing paper.
Friday students will be adding the elements of value and color to their work.
We will begin a Water Smart Art project. Monday we will discuss water and why it is important. Students will create a brainstorming list of reasons why it is valuable and create symbols to represent each reason.
Tuesday and Wednesday students will create a rough sketch using the symbols they created for their brainstorming list. Wednesday is early release so I will only be seeing 7th period art class.
Thursday and Friday students will begin drawing their design on final drawing paper.
Monday and Tuesday students will finish going over their pattern designs with sharpie, using a variety of line weights.
Wednesday through Friday students will paint a value scale around their petals. The lightest value will be against the outline of their petals. The darkest value will end at the edges of the paper.
Monday students will begin their Zentangle Radial Designs by drawing out their partial circles and oval petal shapes.
Tuesday and Wednesday students will create pattern designs within each section of their drawing.
Thursday and Friday students will go over pencil lines with sharpie.
We will begin a Zentangle Radial Designs with Value project. Students will practice creating designs by repeating line and shape.
Tuesday students will use a compass to draw a partial circle in the bottom right corner of their paper. They will create at least 4 large ovals, like flower petals, around the partial circle. They will begin to fill each oval with different pattern designs with different line weights.
Wednesday through Thursday students will finish adding pattern designs to the partial circle.
Friday students will use black sharpie to go over all of their lines.
