Monday and Tuesday students will be finishing up their WaterSmart Art projects.
Wednesday they will begin working on creating a visual story to tell about themselves. They will create a brainstorming list of 10 of the most important things about themselves. They will create symbols to represent each thing.
Thursday students will think of a way to creatively unite the symbols in a work of art. They will create rough sketches.
Friday students will begin working on their final representation of their story. They may write a poem, a song, choreograph a dance, take a photo or create a work of art to tell their story.
Monday students will begin adding the elements of value and color to their Water Smart Art using colored pencils.
Tuesday and Wednesday students will continue to add value and color to each object in their composition. They will be focusing on coloring lightly in one direction. They will add shaded areas to each object by going over the area again, lightly with their colored pencil to blend into the light areas.
Thursday students will engage in a progress critique. Students will be focusing on constructive criticism to help their peers improve or enhance their artwork.
Friday students will complete their Water Smart Art and self assessment on their rubrics.
Tuesday students will begin a water conservation project and will brainstorm for 10 ways that water is important to them.
Wednesday students will create symbols to visualize each reason on their list.
Thursday students will start creating rough sketches to bring all of their symbols together to visualize how water is important.
Friday students will continue to complete their sketches and may begin on their final drawing if ready.
