Monday students will finish their Water Smart Art projects and begin creating a monster idea for their double pinch pot project.
Tuesday students will finalize their sketches of their pinch pot monsters. We will discuss mood, features and characteristics of monsters.
Wednesday students will begin creating 2 pinch pots. Students will score and slip the 2 pinch pots together.
Thursday we will have an alternate assignment (sub).
Friday students will begin shaping the oval like body of the monster (2 joined pinch pots) and creating legs by following the step by step instructions on their hand out.
Monday students will finish their pinwheels. Students will work on adding the elements of value and color to their Water Smart Art projects.
Tuesday-Thursday students will put the finishing touches on their Water Smart Art projects.
Friday students will write an artist's statement to explain how they showed the value of water through symbolism.
Monday students will learn about Peace Day and begin creating a brainstorming list of words, symbols and drawings that represent non-violence and anti-bullying.
Tuesday students will begin creating their Pinwheels for Peace. They will use their brainstorming list to fill both sides of their template with designs.
Wednesday and Thursday students will add the element of color to their pinwheels.
Friday students will assemble their pinwheels and turn in with their rubrics. Pinwheels will be displayed in downtown Kennesaw on Monday September 17th at "Dinner at the Depot".
Students will complete their Quest for H2O web quests in the lab on Tuesday.
Wednesday students will use the Web Quest information they researched to create a brainstorming list of 5 reasons water is valuable.
Thursday students will create symbols for each item on their brainstorming list. Students will start visualizing ways to combine each symbol creatively. They will begin the rough sketch for their project.
Friday students will finish their rough sketch.
