We will be working on an Artist Research Poster project. Each student will research an artist from the list of Artists posted below. We will spend 3 days in the computer lab to gather facts and images of the artist and their work.
Due to our snow days, we are finishing up drawing and coloring this week. Manga graphic narratives are due on Friday. If you have not completed the assignment, you will have to make arrangements to come in early or stay after school Monday February 24th.
We will be in the computer lab Monday through Wednesday of next week.
Students will draw their sketches into the frames on final drawing paper. Students will make sure that they label their frames correctly. Japanese Manga graphic narratives are read right to left, instead of the United States, that read left to right.
Students will start putting their sketches in order on their drawing paper.
Students will be creating thumbnail sketches of their Manga character. They will complete at least 6 sketches to plan out the action of their story. Students will create a template for their frames.
They will use the 4 elements of Manga: picture, word, balloon and frame. They will also include onomatopoeia. Students will use spatial concepts to show depth in their art work.
