Will be learning about Japanese Manga graphic narratives. Students will create their own original character based on their identity or fiction. They will need to write a short story to introduce their character, have some form of action or conflict and a conclusion.
Students finished up their posters and book work this week. I have given extra time to complete late assignments.
Students worked on research for their Harlem Rennaissance Posters. Due to testing, students worked in class with laptops. Students will go to the library in small groups when ready to print pictures due to testing. Students have a Careers in Art hand out to work on using the Visual Experience text book while they wait to print their images.
Students will finish gathering their facts and images of important works of art. The lay-out of their poster will be planned, making sure to use the principle of emphasis to show the importance of different content of their composition.
Art work will be added to the composition to show unity. Students will extend or recreate designs from the artist's works.
We will have a group critique when posters are completed.
