Monday students will finish painting their monochromatic quadrant of their art work.
Tuesday students will begin painting the 4th quadrant of their project using primary or secondary colors.
Wednesday students will finish painting their primary or secondary colors in the 4th quadrant of their design.
Thursday students will be assessed on what they learned about color and balance. They will complete a hand out on the Elements and Principles of Art when they finish.
Friday students will learn about the culture and folk lore of Mexico by viewing an animated movie,"The Book of Life".
Monday students will finish adding complimentary colors to the first quadrant of their drawings.
Tuesday ,Wednesday and Thursday students will be painting analogous colors in the 2nd quadrant of their drawings. They will be mixing the colors to create the 3 colors they have chosen that are next to each other on the color wheel.
Friday students will begin adding monochromatic color to the 3rd quadrant of their drawings. They will add white to create a tint and black to create a shade of the color they have chosen.
Tuesday students will learn about the principle of balance. Students will complete a hand out to create examples of all 3 types of balance: asymmetrical, symmetrical and radial.
Wednesday students will create an asymmetrical template using organic shapes.
Thursday students will use the template to create a composition with symmetrical balance.
Friday students will begin coloring their first section with complimentary colors and the second section with analogous colors.
