We will work on our Photo Story projects Monday through Wednesday in the computer lab. We will have a group critique in class on Thursday. Friday we will view Disney's Hercules and complete a hand-out on Greek art to be turned in by the end of class.
We will finish our Value Self Portraits. Eighth graders will begin a photography project as a group or individually to be edited and created with the Photo Story application.
Students learned about value and how to create a value scale. They completed a hand out with exercises to help with comprehension of value.
Each student was given a printed copy of a self portrait. They were to outline all the areas of value in their photo. When completed, it should look like a "paint by number" painting. Students began painting their portraits using one color, black and white. They created tints and shades of one color to create value in their paintings.
