Students will be working in pairs on a Social Justice Web Quest Monday and Tuesday. LINK www.un.org/en/events/humanrightsday/2010/test.asp
Wednesday students will research one of the topics they found when working on the web quest. They will be collaborating on a work of art using a metaphor or symbolic representation of their topic to teach the class about social justice issues.
Thursday and Friday students will be brainstorming and sketching out their plans for their project.
Monday through Thursday students will merge edited images to create a new image. Students will use Pixlr.com photo editor to layer images to create their movie posters.
Friday students will complete a constructed response assessment for their project.
Monday students will begin editing their images they have chosen to symbolize their topic for their movie poster. Students will be using Pixlr.com photo editing app.
Tuesday students will continue to follow their rubric and edit each image using Pixlr.com.
Wednesday I will not see students in this class period due to the half day.
Thursday and Friday students will continue editing images for their posters. Students may begin to "create a new image" and bring each picture into Pixlr.com as a layer. All work must be saved to student ID folders.
Monday students will begin researching Georgia Studies topics about the Civil Rights Movement in Georgia. Students will choose from the topics listed on their Civil Rights Movie Poster rubrics.
Tuesday students will continue their research on their topic. Students will save all information to their Student ID folders.
Wednesday and Thursday students will use brainstorming skills to develop ideas for their movie poster. Students will save images to their student ID folders.
