Students will finish up their Non Objective Art compositions. Students will take an assessment about color.
We will begin a project using technology to create art memes. We will talk about pop culture and the use of memes.
Students will be given another day in the computer lab to work on their Abstract Color Wheel designs.
We will begin a Whirling Swirling Non Objective Composition on Wednesday. Students will view non-objective art and use analogous colors to create colorful swirls in their artwork. Students will add sharpie and marker to enhance pattern designs in their composition. Yarn may be added later to add to the design as well.
Students will be learning about color theory this week. We will go over primary, secondary, intermediate, analogous, monochromatic, neutral and complimentary colors in class. Students will complete the color wheel hand out.
We will be creating an Abstract Color Wheel using the computer app Pixlr. Students will experiment with different tools to create tints and shades in their composition.
